Why Jewish Pioneers were so successful in the development of the Early American West - 1849 - 1910.

    • Migration of large ethnic blocks from Europe to America. Their view of the future versus our view of the past.

    • The Pioneer adventures of hearty individuals willing to risk going to the "Wild West."

    • The Pioneer adventures of Jewish individuals willing to risk going to the "Wild West."

    • The special characteristics of the Jews in the development of the West that allowed for their great successes.

    • How specific lessons learned 2,500 years ago made a big difference for Jewish Pioneers.

• Emperor Joshua Norton—who was the beloved Jewish Emperor of San Francisco for twenty-five years;

• Josephine Sarah Marcus—who was the real cause behind the Gunfight at the OK Corral;

• Saul Odess—who was the real hero of Sergeant Alvin York’s platoon in World War I;

• Solomon Bibo—who was the Jewish Chief of the Acoma Indians of New Mexico;

Solomon Bibo, Chief of the Acoma Indians during the 1880's, before his childrens' B'Nai Mitzvot.
